Who We Are

Horizon Line Architecture & Interiors is a 7-person, full-service architecture and interior design practice based in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. We provide comprehensive design services across commercial, institutional, healthcare-adjacent, and community-oriented project types—from early programming and conceptual design through construction documents, bidding, and construction administration. Our in-house capabilities include architectural design, interior design, space planning, FF&E coordination, and full consultant management for MEP, structural, and civil engineering.

We are a relatable team with a down-to-earth approach. We don’t lead with ego—we lead with intention. Our clients choose us because we listen before we draw, we communicate plainly, and we treat every project as a partnership. Whether we’re designing a franchise restaurant, a church campus expansion, or a community health facility, we bring the same commitment: thoughtful design grounded in the real needs of the people who will use the space every day.

Where We Came From

Horizon Line’s roots run deep in Oklahoma. Our practice traces its lineage through over six decades of continuous architectural service in the state, across three generations of firm leadership.

  • Practice founded by Tom McCrory, establishing a legacy of service-oriented architecture in Oklahoma primarily in the single-family residential market.

  • Scott Ambler joins McCrory and Associates, bringing new energy and vision to the firm’s growing portfolio of commercial and institutional work.

  • Scott assumes leadership and the firm became Ambler Architects, marking the beginning of a new chapter focused on expanding commercial and community-based design.

  • The firm acquired G+A Associates, and Randy Weatherly joined Scott as a partner – broadening the firms capabilities and client base across Oklahoma. The company started executing Civil Engineering and Landscape Design as a part of in-house services.

  • Joseph joins the firm, refreshing the energy with a passion for collaborative, client-centered design.

  • Joseph purchases the firm from Scott Ambler and Randy Weatherly, beginning a new era of leadership while honoring the practice’s established culture and relationships.

  • Randy’s passing marks the loss of a valued partner and friend. His contributions to the firm’s legacy of community-focused design continues to shape our work.

  • The firm rebranded as Horizon Line Architecture and Interiors – a name that reflects both our forward-looking design philosophy and our commitment to seeing beyond the present to what is possible.

Through every transition, the core identity of this practice has remained constant: a commitment to honest, personal relationships with our clients; a belief that good design solves real problems; and a deep connection to the communities we serve across Oklahoma. Horizon Line is not a startup—we are the latest chapter of a firm with 65+ years of continuous practice, now operating with the energy and perspective of a team that is building for the future.
